‘The Best Relationship Quote’ Competition Winner Announced

These were my top three quotes, and they won a copy of my book: Landscapes of the Heart

When we met I thought my ship had come in, then I realised it carried toxic waste! An ex-colleague  of the person who entered the competition
You’re an old bugger, you are! But you’re my old bugger … The best friend of the person who entered the competition, to her husband
I want to love you without clutching, join you without invading, invite you without demanding, leave you without guilt, criticize you without blaming, help you without insulting. Virginia Satir

This was a competition to win a free paperback of the book, Landscapes of the Heart: The working world of a sex and relationship therapist by Juliet Grayson (foreword by Brigid Proctor: Founder and Fellow of BACP)

Juliet Grayson has been a UKCP reg. psychotherapist since 1994, and specialises in working with relationships. On April 7th 2016 she publishes a ground-breaking book describing her approach to working with couples.

In Landscapes of the Heart: The working world of a sex and relationship therapist, Juliet shows her work with five couples and one individual, all of whom are struggling with a relationship or sexual issue. We get a rare opportunity to see these therapy sessions from Juliet’s perspective, as she gives us access to her thoughts and feelings. Using a variety of methods, including a body-based therapy that is relatively unknown in the UK: the Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor, we see her working one-to-one, with couples, and facilitating groups.

Some of you will have met Juliet when you attended one of her courses. She offers twelve days of training for therapists that usually work one-to-one, leading to a “Certificate in Working With Couples”, (although participants are also allowed to attend any of these two-day workshops as a stand-alone event). She also runs personal development groups for the general public, using Pesso Boyden System Psychotherapy, across the UK.
